| Whenever the
Mission appeals for a special project and that need is met,
the remainder of funds goes into our general operating funds
to provide programs and services for our homeless men, women
and children. |

Your entire contribution is received by the Merced
County Rescue Mission. Your continued support is
greatly appreciated.

to
Christ-centered,
self-sufficient
lives,
as

as
ensuring

the
way

According
to
best
estimates,
at
least
50%
of
all
adult
Americans
who
die
each
year
do
not
have
wills
or
any
other
formal
estate
plans.
In
many
cases,
this
means
families
are
left
arguing
about
personal
property,
guardians
for
minor
children,
and
why
some
relatives
inherited
property
when
others
were
really
the
preferred
beneficiaries.*
Some
of
the
reasons
people
never
write
a
will
are:
 |
Feeling they own too few assets to justify having a will, |
 |
Believing that owning everything in joint names eliminates the need for a will, |
 |
Procrastinating, |
 |
Not knowing how to get started, |
 |
Thinking state laws will surely coincide with personal desires, |
 |
Assuming family members will take responsibility for the estate and carry out any personal wishes, |
 |
Believing that a will is unnecessary without dependents, |
 |
Feeling reluctant to engage an attorney because of legal fees, |
 |
Experiencing a false sense of immortality. |
These
assumptions
can
cause
misunderstandings,
family
strife
and
hurt
feelings
at a
time
when
the
family's
coping
skills
are
at
their
lowest
point.
You
can
avoid
this
situation
by
making
your
will
a
priority
today.

you

creating
or

a
will,
